Bad Debt Collection Division:
The Bad Debt Collection Division is based at our corporate headquarters in Panama City, Florida. Its function is to perform bad debt collection for the medical community. This division accepts accounts you determine need special attention and carries them through to maximum recovery. The collection division is able to accomplish this by overcoming the debtors resistance to meet their obligations to you. At HRC, we place heavy emphasis on the human relations aspect of collections. As a direct result of this approach, we are able to show a collection ratio greater than that of our competitors.
Remote (In-House) collection Division:
This division is administered from corporate headquarters, but is physically located "in-house" at your facility. Its function is to augment your existing collection department. For a variety of reasons, many hospital collection departments are unable to perform as efficiently as possible. Our programs help complete your "in-house" collection process without adding more full time employees to payroll.
Clean-Up/In-House or Out:
This program handles all types of insurance claims for you. Our insurance clerks handle everything from billing to follow-up. Insurance claims can take many man hours from your department, especially those claims that are being followed up or have been rejected. Our clerks can free your FTE's to handle the "cleaner" claims and primary companies.
Legal Department:
HRC's legal department handles all the preparation necessary if a suit is to be filed on a bad debt account. This department will contact your office and draw up the paperwork to be signed for authorization granting permission to sue. It will search through the assets of the person involved and review the laws pertaining to garnishment of wages and other means available for collecting the debt in the state in which the suit is being filed. Prior to filing, we will give the debtor an opportunity to make arrangements for paying on the account. If you grant us permission to file suit and no arrangements can be made, HRC will absorb all legal expenses involved with the debtor.
Credit Bureau Reporting:
HRC's maintains, reports and notifies the Credit Bureau of account activity, if you desire. Bad Debt is listed under retail and prevents a debtor from receiving credit for major purchases until all medical bills are paid in full. We report to the two largest credit bureaus Equifax and Trans Union.
